A Blog! Wow It's Been Almost Three Years!

I'm, alive!

I'm still here, more or less. God has it really been almost three years? Well that's just, wow!

So much has changed, and yet so little has changed. I'm not studding Wildlife Science anymore. Nope, now I'm studying animation! And I am loving it! I am honestly loving it! It is so great to be pursuing my passion like this. I never knew how much this was calling until I started studding.

Here I'll give you a snippet of what I did last year.

Just a note, the character isn't mine. We were given character models which we had to draw. And also the dialogue is not mine. Both belong to their rightful owners.

This was my first real lip-sinc animation. It was so tedious but so wonderful! I was completely over the dialogue by the time I was done. I had to listen to that so many times. None the less I am proud of the results!

This is only one of the animations I did in 2D. I'm working on another one, which is more of a personal project to help me learn and to have fun with. XD However all the rave these days is about 3D and it's also what I'm majoring in. So I should give you a taste.

Here's one of my 3D animations. I don't own the rigs, they cam in a pack which the uni used. I based this scene off one from the TV series Lucifer. It was so much fun to do this!
I had to learn how to do a run cycle in 3D for this which was really cool!

So that's the main change. The other would be that my art has improved. Due to using it over time and learning from actual artists, oh and doing life drawing. You try drawing a person in 30 seconds and see how you go. Then after 10 or so of those you can upgrade to 1 minute. See life drawing an't so easy.

... Oh right drawing examples!

This obviously isn't life drawing, but I don't have any examples on this computer, so you're going to have to put up with one of my Inktober drawings. (Which yes is a few months behind but this is still epic.) I did this drawing over two days. By god shading all of that with a pen! It took so long! And this is only A5! Although it doesn't matter how long it took I'm super proud of this one. As you can see my perspective sucks much less.

I've also been doing digital drawings too.

See if you can spot all the references! XD

Honestly guys, this is mainly what I have to talk about. It's a new an amazing part of my life, one which I love and I plan to work hard to make this dream of mine a reality.
Sorry that this hasn't been that in depth but it's what I've got. (Oh and I have recently gotten back into Dragon Booster. Anyone remember that epic Canadian show?)

Have an epic day everyone!

- Misti out!
